The main terrace around the large private pool is also for your use and there is an outside hot and cold shower. Relax and take in the sun in the beautiful walled garden - and in real comfort! Then "cool off" in this beautiful private 10 x 5 metre heated swimming pool surrounded by fruit trees and exotic plants.
The living area has a satellite TV and newly installed patio door now enclose the private terrace, making it a cosy place to site on cooler days and evenings.
This first class luxury accommodation is especially suitable for people who want the luxury of a private villa without having to pay high prices. It is also ideal for those wanting a relaxing holiday, but near to shops and other activities.
Larger than a typical studio, this rental accommodation has a separate kitchen that is small but well equipped and a bathroom with shower.
The area
- Casa Cornelius is situated in a quiet area on the east side of Calpe on the coast road to Moraira and is 3 kms. from the centre of Calpe town with all of its amenities. The property is only 300 metres to the large sandy Levante beach with its restaurants and bars.
- A bus service runs into Calpe and the bus stop is about a ten minute walk. The owners do recommend though that a car is an advantage.
- Only a short drive to the picturesque Jalon Valley and about 1/2 hour away from Benidorm with all of its attractions and night life.
- The Studio apartment is ideally suited for those who are house-hunting.
- Airport
- Alicante Airport - approx 60 kms - (about 1 hours drive)
- Valencia Airport - approx. 100 kms - (about 1.1/2 hours drive)
- Close by is Moraira, a traditional Spanish fishing village with lots of shops, restaurants and bars. Ample supermarkets, banks etc. and a lovely beach with safe swimming.
- The Theme parks of Terra Mitica, Mundomar & Aqualandia are near to Benidorm which is only approx. 25 kms away and Alicante Airport is only 60 kms (approx. 1 hours drive).
- Calpe is in an ideal spot for those shopping trips to the larger cities of Benidorm and Alicante or for a relaxing stroll along beautiful sandy beaches or exciting drives through the beautiful Jalon Valley with its terraced orange & lemon groves and the wonderful scenery as you drive around the winding roads through traditional Spanish villages.
- A breathtaking trip up to the mountain town of Guadalest and even more breathtaking coming back down - it's a must! - you'll enjoy the spectacular views of the town that is built at the edge of a precipice.
Calpe
A port and a country town at the same time and in the most popular tourist region of the Costa Blanca. The municipality of Calpe, with an area of 24.6 square kilometers, is situated in the south of a district called La Marina Alta, between the sea and the mountains.Without doubt the most outstanding feature of Calpes 13 kilometre coastline is the Pinon de Ifach (Calpe rock) that towers from the sea to a height of 332 metres and has been declared a nature reserve by the Regional Government. To the northern side of the rock are the Fossa and Calalga beaches with the Arenal-Bol beach and some smaller coves on the southern side
A privileged enclave beside the calm blue waters of the Mediterranean, where outstanding natural beauty, gastronomy, culture, the sea and the mountains are part of the everyday life of its inhabitants all year round.
The Old Town is beginning to attract more and more visitors because it is becoming a very interesting part of the town. There are Museums, picturesque little streets and squares and many bars and restaurants, most of them with a lively terrace, an ideal place to spend a pleasant summer evening. Go on a cruise through the bay of Calpe and around ‘the rock’.
Calpe will surprise you with its daring contrasts, where modern buildings and wide avenues harmonize with an ancient fishing village, where locals are proud of their past, yet welcome tourists and visitors with warm hearted hospitality.
Calpe is a town that is full of history and culture. Its strategic location on the coast has attracted many voyagers and settlers throughout history. Remains of Iberian tribes were discovered around the skirts of the Rock of Ifach. Later, the Romans founded a prosperous colony on the coastal plain whose main activity was commerce in dried salted fish. During the Medieval period, the farming population was spread out in a number of independent settlements. Christians and Moors lived peacefully for a time, but the local population suffered continual attacks by pirates during the 14th to the 17th centuries. Calpe entered a period of redevelopment during the 18th century, consolidating the town in the 19th century and laying the foundations for its current prosperity as a major attraction for both national and international tourism. In the ancient town center, next to the Moorish quarter (Arrabal) we can see the group of monuments comprising the Torreo de la peça, the Town Walls and the church known as the Iglesia Vieja, the sole surviving example of Mudejar-Gothic architecture in the land of Valencia. Further more there is the Moli Tower and the remains of an ancient Roman which have recently been found, once forming part of the fish factory known as the Queen's Bath (Banys de la Reina).
The nearby sea and the exceptional climate entice you to take part in various sports whatever the time of year, scuba diving, sailing, line and underwater fishing, windsurfing, paragliding and parapetting, mountain walks, mountain climbing etc. Further more there are jeep adventures, several safari parks, beautiful caves and many other places of interest. Visit other interesting places like Guadelest, this is the most visited village on the Costa Blanca. It was built on a mountain peak more than 700 m. high during the Moorish invasion in the thirteenth century. Don't forget your camera. Further more there is the rest of the region Marina Alta, Marina Baja, lovely villages like Altea, Denia, Javea, Finestrat, Villa Joyosa, Jalon (valley of wine) and of course Aitana, the highest point of the Costa Blanca. The city Elche is world famous for their palmers and tropical plants in the magnificent gardens of Elche.

There are two chest of drawers and two fitted wardrobes giving ample storage space There is a dining table & chairs & small coffee table.

- Kitchen A well equipped separate kitchen with fridge-freezer, gas hob, small electric oven, microwave & grill oven. Use of washing machine once a week.
- Others Central heating, linen, towels (changed weekly) & Iron & Board.
- Amenities: Sky Digital TV providing English TV and many other programs & Music Centre.
- Outdoors Private entrance to the studio apartment with very private sun and shaded sitting areas. We have a drop down side blind and front blind on the external covered terrace thus making this into an external dining room which can be used even if the weather is chilly. A large walled garden with fruit trees & exotic plants surrounding the private 10 x 5 meter heated swimming pool (in season - see tariff details) with outside hot & cold shower.
